I came to Christ through Athletes in Action in my first years of University. It's no surprise that this group and this initiative has a special place in my heart. The community, the love, and the time all with God at the center...really showed me how to live life fully. I have always wanted to go to UTC, but college playing and school schedule kept it out of reach. Now it is my chance! In New Zealand of all places!

How did I get here? An old college teammate told be a Club in NZ was looking for a pitcher and asked if I'd be interested. BOOM. Rewind to about 4months ago, I was playing Professional Softball in the states with the Cleveland Comets (pictured). There is no doubt the game has continued to be a vital part of my life post-college.

I'm not sure how much longer I'll continue to play the sport, but I know I will be an active member of it's growth. For as long as I continue to compete, I want this camp to show me how to fully fuel myself with the spirit of God. I'm not sure I've ever tapped into that level despite my blessings in success. I know this type of experience will pour over into my "grown up" aspects of life and my hope is this will equip me to be a better active member of God's army.
